I know, I know, the kids are only just back at school, and out come the ideas and products for Christmas. As a parent, the idea of thinking about Christmas so early fills me with dread, but as a business, I need to.
Now is the time to start producing things for Christmas, and as this is my first festive season as wood turner and wood worker, I’ve got think of some things that are not only attractive, but will also sell on the run-up to the big day.
I have some ideas for wooden baubles to hang from Christmas trees, and I have some blue pine wood that I think will look lovely as hanging decorations, but I also have some wood I can make little Christmas trees out of.
They are quite small and don’t take too long to make. I think they will be about a fiver when they go out on sale. A reasonable price, I think for a unique little mantle piece or window sill ornament.
Here are the first couple of trees I have produced for the limited supply of Holly wood I have in stock. They are about 4 inches tall and, of course, like everything else I make, each one is completely unique. What do you think?
