Approximately four thousand years ago, people had started using bronze for their tools, and the tree from which this pen comes was growing at that time. It dates back to when the alphabet was developed, and the world’s population was less than fifty million.
Neatly fitting, the cap screws on to either end of the pen and presented it’s black lacquered box with glass window, this beautiful pen will make an exquisite gift.
The pen has been finished with a blend of oil and waxes to produce a lustrous, hard wearing and protective coating through which you can still feel the natural texture of the wood beneath. Over the top of that, a British Museum grade microcrystalline wax has been applied to further protect your pen.
Your pen will also come with a certificate of age giving some perspective into world events when the tree your pen comes from was growing in Ireland.
