New Helpful Links in All Posts

After producing lots and lots of videos using lots and lots of different bits of kit, it is no surprise that I get lots and lots of comments about the kit! To save me some time, and to be extra helpful, I’m now adding kit links to all posts and videos.

You’ve seen a video in which I am using a piece of kit to demonstrate a technique but you haven’t got that piece of kit and fancy having a go. What do you do? Leave a comment on the post or the video asking where to get it, I would imagine. That’s brilliant, there’s no problem with that at all – I’m chuffed to bits that you want to have a go at the things I’m showing. But…

There’s always a ‘But’, isn’t there? The ‘But’ here is that as my channel and presence grows and with it, the number of comments I receive grows, there is less and less time I have available each week to reply to you as fully as I would like to. And seeing as a lot of the comments I receive are about the kit I use, it seems sensible to put links to the kit (or similar) I use in the video descriptions and supporting blog posts. This is especially important, I think, for the beginners in my audience.

I’ve trawled through my comments and workshop and put together a list of equipment I get asked about quite regularly. Next to each item are links to Amazon and eBay.

screenClever, Helpful Links!

I have followers and viewers from all over the world, so what use is links to a UK site if you are in the USA? Well, the links included ‘geolocate’ to your local Amazon or eBay site. Clever eh? There’s no point in putting links purely to a UK site as a huge percentage of my audience would not find them at all helpful.

So, if you click on ‘Box Set of Tools’ for example, you will be shown search results on amazon.com if you are in the US, amazon.ca if you are in Canada, etc, etc…

By adding these links, I can ‘prevent’ kit-buying related questions, be helpful to you, and save me time answering similar questions over and over again. Not that I’m complaining about comments – they are a great way to connect to you!

Here are search links to tools and equipment like those I use in my projects. The links have been created to show you items in Your location on your local Amazon or eBay store. If you make a purchase after following one of these links, I receive a small commission from Amazon or eBay which in turn will help keep my content free. Thank you!

Please Note: Links are provided in good faith. Any of the products found on either Amazon or eBay are not guaranteed or endorsed by me. Neither am I paid by the manufacturers of the products linked to should you make a purchase. I receive a small commission from any purchase you make from Amazon or eBay via these links which does not increase the price of the product you purchase.

What’s In It For Me?

Apart from saving time in answering the same questions over again, and being completely honest, I get paid for having these links. Not much, but I receive a small commission from each sale made when you follow the links I provide. This commission comes from the Amazon or eBay fees a seller pays to the company to list their product, NOT the sale price of the item you buy. In fact, the price is the same whether or not you use one of my links.

Helping Keep Content Free

I love producing free content. By using these links to purchase your next bit of kit (or anything else after you follow the links) you can help me keep the content I provide for you free. It costs you nothing and is a valuable income for me.

The Amazon links now appear on ALL of my YouTube videos and both the Amazon and eBay links appear on the blog. I’ve got a few more to get onto as I write this, but that should be sorted soon.

If you have any queries about the content I provide, or have been inspired to turn something after watching a project, let me know and send me a picture. I’d love to see what you’re up to.

Thanks for reading and watching,
