Discover Woodturning in Hampshire

Get creative on a fun and informal woodturning course and feel a great sense of achievement in this new season of woodturning. Help a loved one discover their inner artist this Christmas with a course voucher, or book on to hone your skills or revise your existing technique. Bookings and vouchers available online now. Dates available now from September to July ’19.

Situated at a Garthowen Garden Centre in Four Marks, Hampshire (GU34 5AJ), the workshop is founded on a basis of promoting woodturning and encouraging self confidence and a sense of achievement and is fully equipped for beginners through to experienced turners.

Whilst there are four lathes available in the workshop, to ensure the best possible attention given to students, a maximum of three are used on the group teaching courses. Each student will use a set of quality tools by Robert Sorby and be using personal protection equipment.

Timber, tuition, insurance and everything else needed to complete the piece is included in the course costs, too. The onsite coffee shop provides a superbly tasty array of lunch options (again, included in the cost) in a comfortable environment…and the coffee is exceptional, too! Find out more about the workshop here.

From the start of the day, you will be looked after, shown everything you need to know for your course to make sure you have a creative, informative, entertaining and above all, safe day. And, after all the shavings and dust have been cut and blown away at the end of the day, you will leave with a fantastic piece that you turned yourself from start to finish, and it will be something to be proud of.

Have a look at the courses available below. Each one has dates available until July 2019 as well as details on how to book. There are vouchers too, which make brilliant birthday and Christmas presents.

If you have any queries before booking, please contact me and I will be more than happy to help.
