TJ Episode 027 Ancient Greek Inspiration and Honest Talk About Motivation

This week on Turner's Journey, it's been a mixed bag of workshop life. I've been filming a new video for the Byte-Size Workshop on tool rest height, prepping pen blanks (not my favourite job, I'll be honest), and I made the early-morning drive over to Sandon Woodturners in Essex for a demonstration. I turned a lekythos-style piece for them, inspired by ancient Greek oil vessels, which will feature in the sequel to Woodturning: Form and Formula. There's also a bit of thinking out loud about motivation, getting started when the weather's miserable and the enthusiasm isn't quite there, and I'm mulling over the idea of recording an abridged audio version of my new book, A Maker's Mindset, due out in March. Plus, a pedestal bowl class on Sunday rounded things off nicely.
